Cypria Filoxenia 2018

test

Androula Vassou, a maid with a great sense of duty, was called upon to go above and beyond the call of duty. It was when the arrival of a customer in one of her room was an unpleasant surprise. He was an unescorted tetraplegic, whose cleanliness and personal hygiene was a challenging effort due to his incapability for self-care. An additional difficulty in care giving was the fact that his wheelchair did not fit in the bathroom. His medication had also a very strong and unpleasant smell. Despite all challenges, Androulla accepted this responsibility to serve without counting the personal cost and discomfort, delivering tons of extra miles, above and beyond the work of a room maid in a resort hotel. For this she deserves praise and respect! This story is awarded with 1st Prize in Social Responsibility at Work of Cypria Filoxenia 2018. Story of Napa Plaza Hotel, Ayia Napa
